In order to reduce the risk of cavities, here are some tips for using bottles and sippy cups:
- Never put your child to sleep at night or during nap time with a bottle or sippy cup containing anything other than water.
- Mealtime and snack time are the only times that your child’s bottle or sippy cup should contain any liquid other than water.
- Since sippy cups were designed to help make the transition to drinking cup from a baby bottle, sippy cups shouldn’t be used for an extended period of time.
- It is recommended by the Canadian Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry that children should be weaned from the bottle at 12-14 months of age.

Insurance & Billing
Payment for all professional services is due the day of treatment. We are happy to file your insurance claim on your behalf after payment has been received and your insurance company will send reimbursements directly to you, according to the terms of your contract with your insurance company. The parent or guardian who brings the child for treatment is responsible for payment. We accept cash, debit, Visa and MasterCard. As a dental provider, we do not have a contract with your insurance company. We are not responsible for how your insurance company handles its claims or for what benefits they pay on a claim. We will provide the information that your insurance company needs in order to minimize your time and effort in filing. We also will send a pre-determination request to your insurance company to review your insurance benefits. Please note we do not accept assignment of your insurance benefits to our office.
